The death of Mrs. Alice Auffrey, widow of Emile Auffrey of Pré-d'en-Haut, occurred Wednesday (9 novembre) morning at the Dr. Georges Dumont Hospital after a short illness. She was 86.
Born at Pré-d'en-Haut, she was a daughter of the late Dominique and Vivienne (Bourque) Belliveau. Her husband died in 1937.
She is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Joseph Landry (Lola) of Pré-d'en-Haut: four sons, Allain of Shediac, Edgar of Moncton, Robert of Fox Creek and Paul Auffrey of Pré-d'en-Haut; one brother, Philippe Belliveau of Pré-d'en-Haut; two sisters, Mrs. Louis Gonzague LeBlanc (Mélendée) and Miss Hermine Belliveau, both of Waltham, Mass.; 18 grandchildren, seven great grandchildren.
The body is resting at Dupuis' funeral home, Memramcook. Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Notre-Dame-de-L'Annonciation Roman Catholic Church, Pré-d'en-Haut, with interment in the parish cemetery.
